Make your own homemade kettledrum, using a clay pot

Today I come with a craft to do with children that they surely love, because it is very fun and useful, let's see how to make your own timpani using a clay pot.

As you read it, you can transform a clay pot into a fun instrument to play with children.

Materials to make the timpani:

  • Clay pot.
  • Craft wrapping paper.
  • White glue.
  • Brush.
  • Paintings.
  • Permanent marker.
  • Elastic rubber.
  • pencil.

Processing:

  • Make your own design for the timpani, and With the paintings you see giving it color.
  • If required Mark the details with a permanent marker.

  • Now cut three squares of the crafts paper slightly larger than the diameter of your pot.
  • Glue with white glue lowered with water these one paper with another. If necessary, secure with tape so that the paper does not roll.

  • Repeat the same operation with the other paper, stick the paper as seen in the image turning every time you put one on.
  • Place glue on top of the pot, permeates the entire edge.

  • Apply the paper on top, stretch well to make a smooth surface. Lower the edges of the outline so that they adhere well.
  • Pass a rubber band all around the contour so the paper will not move and it will be well attached.

  • Let it dry at least two hours, if you are very impatient otherwise, you can wait more.
  • Now you can enjoy your new instrument and solo with your new timpani.

I hope you liked it and that it inspires you, you know that if you make your own version I will be delighted to see it on any of my social networks. And if you liked it, give it a like, and share so that more people can learn about this way of making a kettledrum.

See you at the next.
