The craft that we offer you today is very fun and sensitive for the little ones. It is about recycling two plastic bottles and a bucket to be able to make something original. With one of the bottles we have mixed water with oil and we have turned it into a lava lamp, with the other bottle we have added water and we have mixed it with different small colored shapes so that when shaking it, the children follow its elements and are distracted . With the plastic cube we have made a fun way for the little ones to learn colors. With this craft they will learn the color by pulling the correct bow.
The materials that I have used are:
For the lava lamp effect bottle:
- Small plastic bottle for recycling
- water
- sunflower oil or children's bath oil
- craft coloring or edible food coloring, whatever color you want
- a pill that is effervescent, I chose a paracetamol
For the sensory bottle of objects:
- Small plastic bottle for recycling
- water
- gel balls
- small colored pompoms
- bits of pipe cleaners
- small plastic and colored parts
For the colored ribbons:
- A plastic bucket or similar to recycle
- ribbons of different colors
- a marker to mark
- a cutter or something sharp to make the holes

Lava lamp effect bottle:
We pour water into the bottle, to fill almost a third of it. The rest of the bottle we fill with oil, either sunflower or baby bath oil; but we do not fill it completely, we will leave about two fingers of air above so that later it has movement. We cast a few drops of special coloring And we let it sink to the bottom The dye will dissolve only in the water. We put the effervescent pill and we'll let it do the lava lamp effect. This effect only lasts a few minutes and turns out to be a very emotional moment for the little ones. You can add all the pieces of effervescent tablet that you want. You can also close the bottle and move the color effect along with the oil, which is also very sensory.
For the sensory bottle of objects:
We choose a small plastic bottle that we can recycle, if possible transparent. We fill the bottle with water but not completely, but we will leave two fingers of air until it is full. We introduce all the small colored elements, we can choose the pompoms, the gel balls, the pieces of pipe cleaners, the small colored plastic pieces or whatever we can think of (dice, ludo chips, plastic balls ...). With this we will have it ready to shake the bottle and move the elements it contains. We will enjoy its effect.
For the colored ribbons:
We choose a small bucket containing a lid. We will pierce and insert some ribbons so that children know how to pull them. We mark the areas with a marker to make the holes, we will make as many holes as we have ribbons. With a cutter or something sharp we make some tiny holes to be able to pass the tape. When we pass the ribbons between the holes we must tie them so that when pulling the ribbon does not come off. We can tie them with two or three knots. This sensory instrument will help the little ones learn colors. We will choose a color and ask them to pull the correct tape.
