How to make Africans by reusing glass bottles

In this tutorial I show you how to create African figures by reusing glass bottles. Design the costumes yourself and create thousands of different African women thanks to this step by step.

Materials

To make them figures African you will need the following materials:

• Glass bottle
• Glass paint or spray paint
• Brushes
• Modeling paste

Step by step

First you will need the glass bottle, paintings and Brushes, and you must start designing your African's costume. You can be inspired by African fabrics that you find online.

For the second part of the work you must use the modeling paste. It can be polymer clay, paper pulp, elastic clay, cold porcelain ... The one you like the most or the one you are used to using.

In the following video tutorial I show you the step by step so that you can create the African ones yourself. You will see that it is easier than you think.

Remember that all details You can customize them as you want and how you like best. This is just one idea and the instructions so that you have the basic notions to create your own African.

Let's remember the followed that you have to follow to create them and don't forget anything:

1. Apply a primer to the bottle with glass paint or spray paint.
2. Design the costumes African women with glass paint, acrylics or markers.
3. With the modeling paste, create the arms. Make two brown lines, flatten the part of the hand and glue them from the top of the bottle towards the hip of the African.

4. To make the cuello roll one side of a brown ball and stretch that part. Glue it over the mouth of the bottle.
5. Create the cabeza sticking a ball on the neck that you just made.
6. To cover the junction of the neck with the bottle, you can mold a fabric. To do this, create a line and flatten it. You just have to cover that part with the modeling paste and you can make some wrinkles with the knife to add details.
7. For the top of the head I show you two options. You can put by the gluing a ball that is flattened in black, on top of it another flattened ball, smaller and of a different color, and to make the bow simply a ball over the last one. The other option is to crush the clay to make a handkerchief.
8. Paint the Tsar in a very subtle way so that it does not stand out more than the rest of the body.
9. Add to it accessories with modeling paste such as earrings, bracelets and necklaces.

And you will have finished your African with which, in addition to decorate, you will be reusing.
