Christmas centerpiece made with a wooden log

Christmas is coming and if you like decoration, in this tutorial you will see how to make a Christmas center made with a wooden log. A very original decorative idea in which you can have a fun time collecting things from the field and also recycling, which is also important.

Materials to make this Christmas center:

  • Wood log slice.
  • Glass jar for recycling.
  • Branches, pine cones, roots, leaves ... and more things from the countryside that can be used to decorate.
  • Hot silicone.
  • Permanent marker.
  • Fat salt.
  • Decorative tape.
  • White acrylic.
  • Brush.
  • Candle.
  • Fat salt.

Creative process:

  • To start, do it by preparing the bases: With a permanent marker write a sentence or draw a Christmas motif on the glass jar and decorate as you like, you can add a ribbon, star, hearts ...
  • With acrylic give a different look to the trunkTo do this, take paint with the brush, unload part of the paint on newspaper and rub carefully not to leave too much paint. It is about staining a little and veiling the trunk.

In my case I have placed a heart with gingham squares in red and white. But you can also put a Christmas decorative motif: a reindeer, Christmas balls ... it is about putting a striking touch.

El heart It's very easy to do:

  • To begin with faces two fabrics from the right and mark the outline of the heart with a pencil.
  • With needle and thread pass a backstitch around the heart, leaving a few centimeters unstitched.

  • Next turn the cloth and enter the wadding through the hole.
  • Last finish this area with thread to close the gap that remains.

Now continue with the assembly of the center:

  • Prepare the base with a few sheets, held with hot silicone.
  • Then present the jar in the center and place branches or roots diagonally to lift the composition from the center. Hold with the hot silicone.

  • Then there is only go placing pineapples, ribbons, the heart and all the motifs you want around the glass jar.
  • Last Place the coarse salt in the jar and insert the candle or candle.

Clever! It only remains to place it on the table, light the candle and enjoy it this Christmas!
