Procedure to make the Hawaiian with cardboard rolls

  • To start you need a cardboard roll of toilet or kitchen paper, it depends on the size you want to make the Hawaiian.
  • Measure the height and contour of the roll with a meter and cut out a piece of nude card stock to line the cardboard.
  • My roll measures 16 x 10 cm.
  • Glue the strip and line the roll very carefully.

  • Once lined, cut 3 strips of colored cardstock, mine are 16 cm long by 4-3,5 and 3 cm.
  • I am going to make fringes using special scissors but they are not necessary if you do not have them.

  • Once the strips are made on the 3 colored cards, I am going to glue them.
  • I will place the largest first and then the medium one. The last one will be the little one.
  • With your fingers you can shape the fringes of the skirt.

  • To imitate the bikini coconuts I'm going to use two circles of brown construction paper.
  • I will make a black line with a marker and paste the circles on top.
  • Now i will head with 6 cm in diameter using a plate or compass.

  • Then i will do the mane, You can make the hairstyle you want and glue all the pieces until you have the head.

  • I keep doing the details of the face and hair with markers.
  • I'll glue the eyes and draw the eyelashes, nose and mouth.
  • In the head I will place some eva rubber flowers.

  • In the center of the flowers I will make a detail with a silver marker.
  • I will also form the arms with this strip and two hands and I will stick it behind the roll.

  • To finish the Hawaiian you just have to glue the arms and the head to the roll.
  • And voila, we are done, I hope you liked it and remember that you can make it the color you like the most.
