In places where there is snow, it is common to carry out huge snowmen to commemorate Christmas. Therefore, for those of us who live outside these snowy places, today we present a very fun craft in which to shape these snowmen with recycled materials.
These dolls can be a very entertaining activity for children, as long as they are under our watchful eye. Without a doubt, it is a cozy Christmas ornament for the home where we encourage recycling in the little ones.
Materials
- Plastic plates.
- Straws of juice or smoothie.
- Black paint.
- Brush.
- Black and orange card stock.
- Scissors.
- Pencil.
- Glue stick.
- Needle and thread.
- Old handkerchief.
Our Process
First of all, we will do some wool pompoms small to serve as earmuffs. You can follow these in the link to be able to see the craft.
Then we will paint a pair of children's smoothie straws in black so that these are the arms of our snowman.
Then, we will sew two plastic plates towards the middle so that they form the round and fun body of this doll.
Then also we will sew to these the pompoms in the upper part and we will glue a strip of wool to it to form the earmuffs.
Then we will sew the straws in the middle part from the second plate to be the hands of our snowman.
Finally, we will carry out in the cardboard black the eyes, the mouth and the buttons and we will stick them on the plates. In addition, we will make the typical nose on the orange cardboard and we will also glue it on the plates. To give it a much more wintery touch, we will add a striking scarf.
