How to make a children's fishbowl with a glass jar

In this post I am going to teach you how to do this children's fishbowl to decorate your bedroom. It is a great idea for the little ones and does not need maintenance like real fish tanks.

Materials to make the children's fishbowl

  • A glass jar
  • Colored eva rubber
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • A skewer stick
  • Aquarium stones
  • Permanent markers
  • Decorated ribbon
  • Mobile eyes

Procedure to make the children's fishbowl

  • To begin with, clean the jar well and remove the tag. If you have problems, you can help yourself with alcohol or olive oil by rubbing with a cotton ball or gauze.
  • Draw an eye shape and a triangle, which will be the tail, in the eva rubber.
  • Do this piece twice because we will need two faces of the fish.
  • Prepare a piece of decorated ribbon of the design that you like the most and cut it into small pieces.
  • Glue it to the center of the fish to form the body print.
  • Cut out what is left over and do the same for both pieces of the fish.

  • With a permanent marker of the same tone as the decorated ribbon, I am going to make some lines on the tail so that it is more defined.
  • A piece of yellow eva rubber in the shape of a drop will be the fin that I will place on the body of the fish.
  • Now, I'm going to paste moving eyes in the face on both sides.
  • I will cut a piece of skewer stick and stick it in the center of the fish.

  • Once the stick is glued, I will place the other part of the fish on top and it will be finished.
  • With a red marker I'm going to do the little mouth.
  • Now, I will cut out a thin strip of eva rubber that I will roll around the bottom of the stick so it can hold in the jar.

  • I will glue this piece in the center of the lid and I will fill the bottom with colored aquarium stones.

  • To decorate the jar I am going to use permanent markers. I will do the bubbles with blue and white and then the plants from the bottom of the sea.

And so your perfect fish tank to decorate your room is finished. See you in the next tutorial. Bye!
