An original idea with cans from Pringles

Today's craft proposes a fantastic idea to recycle. In these difficult days, we can recreate our imagination by transforming cans of Pringles into suitable containers to fill whatever we want. In this craft we have designed it to be used in a bathroom or toilet, where we will put practical items such as cotton buds, napkins or brushes. You can design your own utility, from cans to store class things or as cans to store objects for the kitchen, your imagination is free ...

The materials that I have used to make a cactus are:

  • 2 large cans of pringles or another brand and a small one
  • decorative paper
  • half a meter of jute rope
  • 30 cm satin ribbon
  • a black marker
  • a knife or similar to cut the tubes
  • hot silicone and her gun
  • a cutter

You can see this craft step by step in the following video:

First step:

In my case, the decorative paper templates are 15cmx15cm wide and tall. So with a marker I have marked the total height of two boats to be able to trim them to that same height. Later I have helped myself with a knife to cut them, since the tubes are quite rigid.

Second step:

We will pour the hot silicone over the tubes to go sticking the paper around it. We finish the edges well with the glue so that the paper does not lift. We are going to decorate the edge of the entrance of the tubes. I have chosen jute rope, but we can even choose pompoms or something similar. We will glue it with silicone. We will also do it with the other tube, but this time we will glue satin ribbon. We are going to finish decorating another of the small Pringles boats with the decorative paper.

Third step:

With the piece that we have left over from a tube, we will to use as a napkin holder. We take one of the lids and paint a centered and oval hole. We will cut it with something sharp or cutter. This hole will be used to let the napkins pass. The lower part of the tube is left free to be able to put the napkins. It is optional to cover it or not, but in my case I have left it free.

Fourth step:

Let join the boats. We will put the silicone on the sides of the cans and we will join them to our liking. We put The napkins inside the tube, the one that we had left as a napkin holder, and we can put whatever we want into the tubes.
