Una mini wooden box made with ice cream sticks, is ideal for those small decorative details that add personality to the home.
Today you are going to see how to make an equal in a very simple way with the minimum materials. You can place from small decorative plants, to some flower or garnish, which will give that curious touch to where you place it. I show you how I did it!
Materials
- Icecream sticks
- Scissors
- White glue
Our Process
- Cut two ice cream sticks with the scissors, leaving two strips, one longer than the other. The choice of color goes without saying that it is personal, you could make the box all of it, for example.
- Then cut the strips you have cut in half. Then repeat the process with a different color (if you finally do it like me).
- Take the long strips that you have trimmed, and cut some excess to stick it on top of the strips, leaving a space between them, as seen in the image.
- In the same way as with the longer strips, also glue the short ones. Remember to leave the same width in all of them, so that when you assemble the box, all the sides coincide.
- Cut two popsicle sticks. Leave two wide strips of the same length as the longest side, and then 4 narrow strips of the same width (height) of the pieces you assembled before.
- Glue the narrow strips on the opposite side in the corners of the longest sides.
- Once the glue has dried, glue all sides putting the glue in the corners (a little is enough).
- Glue the other two long strips and wide at the bottom.
- Once dried, it will be ready!
