How was your weekend? Have you done a lot of crafts? As you see, At CraftsOn we keep proposing the most disparate ideas to inspire you and you create endless crafts.
In this post, we suggest you make a bracelet by recycling a piece of fabric. To make our braceletWe have used a piece of Indian silk from an old T-shirt that, with the passage of time, had been damaged. Thus, we give it a new life by recycling.
Materials
- Un piece of clothing that we can recycle or a scrap.
- Sewing machine.
- Thread and needle.
- Una buckle or safety pin.
- Scissors.
Our Process
To begin with, We will take a piece of fabric and measure the width we want the bracelet to have. In this case, we have followed the golden color of the fabric, which has made it easier for us to do so. Once the width is decided, we will hem each side on the inside. We will put needles and we will pass a stitching all around the bracelet.
The bracelet must measure more than 25 centimeters since, we want to have an excess piece as an ornament.
Then we will make another hem that will close the ends of the bracelet.
To close the bracelet, we propose three ideas. In the first, we use a strap or belt buckle. We will introduce a part of the bracelet underneath and the other will go over it, to put it on, it will be enough to adjust it to our wrist. In the second idea, we have used a safety pin as a closure, the safety pin can be a good decoration for the bracelet giving it a touch of originality. In the third option, we have used a buckle to which we have removed the stick from the center and we have simply used it as a pin. To fix it to our wrist, it will be enough to do the same as in the first option, adjust it by pulling one end.
Until the next DIY!
