Can lined with eva rubber

lined can

Hello everybody. Today I bring you a colorful tutorial.

Surely you have some at home can or empty jar that you can take advantage of and that it would look prettier if it were decorated. Well, in this tutorial I will show you how I have lined an empty can with colored foam rubber.

The materials are easy to get and in a short time we can give another look and recycle that boat or year empty that we have at home to give more utility.

Materials for our lined can

An empty can or jar.

Glue for metal.

Colored eva rubber. ( Choice)

Scissors, tape measure, ruler and cutter.

Procedure

First of all what I did was wash and dry the can very well. To remove the paper that surrounded it, I used hot water. Then pass it with a fine sandpaper so that the glue adheres better.

Then I measured the contour of the can and the height to know how many pieces of eva rubber I was going to cut and how long. In my case I used 4 pieces of eva rubber of different colors. What I did was mark the size I needed on the eva rubber and then cut it, like this for each color.

To paste the pieces I used a glue suitable for metals and strong hold. I started at the bottom edge and continued up placing the pieces of eva rubber one on top of the other surrounding the entire circumference of the can.

To line the lid of the can what I did was use the cap to draw the circumference in the eva rubber, then cut it out and paste it on the lid of the can.

And voila, we have finished our lined can. In very few steps and with very little money we can drastically change the appearance of a simple tin and use it to decorate a corner or as it keeps everything. We also contribute to caring for the environment by recycling.
