In this tutorial I show you the step by step to make a candle holder recycling a can of preserves. In addition to recycling we can decorate any corner of the house including a centerpiece.
It has a rustic design, but by changing the materials we can give it a different final effect, for example I can think of a party, more elegant with glitter and shiny cord ... Let's go with the step by step:
Makings:
- Empty can of canned tuna or pineapple if we want it bigger.
- Cardboard of the desired color, in this case blue or white.
- Sisal cord.
- Take bites.
- Double sided tape.
Processing:
- Once you clean the can we take action both height and outline.
- We will cut the cardboard with the measurements that we have been given when measuring the can.
- We put the double-sided tape on the cardboard box.
- We glue the cardboard around the can.
- We will draw some hearts on cardboard White color and we will cut them out with scissors. If we have a die we can do it that way faster.
- We will make two holes with the punch horizontally and one centimeter apart.
- We will pass the cord around the can and through the two holes.
We will make a loop to hold the heart. We only have to place sand from the beach inside and a candle on top. And ready!
More ideas could be: make compositions, some larger and others smaller with another type of decoration. The cardboard can be exchanged for shiny eva rubber and a silver cord and it can be a Christmas decoration. Change your heart for a star or a flower ... you just have to let your imagination fly.
I leave you here this idea for you to be inspired, I hope you like it and put it into practice and if so, share it on social networks ... For any questions I will be happy to answer you. But in the next craft.
