Cardboard princesses

Cardboard princesses

You will like these cute princesses made with recycled cardboard tubes. With a little ingenuity, paint, wool and a few details we can make these precious dolls to decorate any corner of a children's room. Their tutus and their hair made with wool will be the endearing part of these princesses so easy to make. We will discuss the instructions later, but you also have a demonstration video so you do not lose detail.

The materials that I have used are:

  • Two cardboard tubes for recycling
  • Light pink, dark pink and blue acrylic paint
  • Black marker
  • Red marker
  • Fine orange wool
  • Fine pink wool
  • 3 small mini gummies
  • Pastel colored tutu fabric. I have acquired it from a children's hairpin
  • A silver fabric star to decorate
  • A pink pompom
  • A small hole die cutter
  • Hot silicone with your gun

You can see this craft step by step in the following video:

First step:

We paint the tubes: in the upper part we color the area where the faces are going to go, with light pink color. In the rest of the body we color the part where their dresses will go, in this case a tube of blue color and the other pink color carton.

Second step:

We will paint the faces with the black marker. It will be fun how we will draw the eyes with large eyelashes and their smiles with a red marker.

Third step:

We will do all holes with die cutter At the top of the tube, these holes will be where we will pass the wool and we will form the hair of our princesses. We will cut pieces of wool 12-15 cm long, we will count and cut as many pieces as we have made holes.

Fourth step:

When you calculate its length you have fold it in half. This folded piece of wool will be the one that will be placed inside the holes, where we will fit them. How a buttonhole will be formed we will put the other end of the wool and we will pull so that it remains attached as a knot.

Fifth step:

When we have tied all the pieces of wool, in one of the princesses we will try to form a queue and in the other princess we will try form two braids sides. Everything we form we tie with the two mini gummies little.

Step Six:

The tutu we are going to place it in the front and in the center of the dress. We will stick it with the hot silicone. We will do the same with the other princess where we will glue the other piece of tutu and we will decorate both princesses with a pink pompom and a decorative star.
