How to make a centerpiece by recycling a glass jar

centerpiece

Good, Today I show you how to make a centerpiece by recycling a glass jar, in this case it is for the decoration of a signature table, but it can be used for more things like decorating the Christmas table, changing the decorative details for more Christmas ones.

It is a very simple craft and in just a few steps we have it solved, ready to decorate any corner of the house.

Makings:

  • Glass jar.
  • Double sided tape.
  • Rope.
  • Scissors.
  • Candle.
  • Cardboards.
  • Paperboard.
  • Sand.

Processing:

In this case, the glass jar is very large, one of those for preserves, so the center is large, but it could also be done with a smaller jar and changing the size of the candle.

CENTROMESA1

  • The first thing we are going to do is prepare the glass jar, cleaning it and removing the labels, for this we introduce it for a few minutes in boiling water and it will come off immediately.
  • We will place in the upper part where the lid would be screwed double-sided tape around the contour.
  • We will wrap the rope around the tape so that it stays attached.

CENTROMESA2

  • For the decoration I have used hearts, we can cut them with scissors or with a die. We cut the hearts out of cardboard and gray cardboard.
  • We glue a heart on one of the sides of the gray cardboard, and we do the same with the little one.

CENTROMESA3

  • We make a loop and at the height we want it we glue the cardboard to one end of the rope.
  • To top it off we glue the other cardboard heart on the other side. as indicated in the picture.

CENTROMESA4

  • We cut the remaining rope to finish the heart well.
  • With distress ink we can make the outline, this is optional.

CENTROMESA5

To complete it we will add sand to the bottom of the jar, in my case it has been some quartz pebbles and we will place the candle inside to finish the composition.

I hope you liked it and that you put it into practice, and also that you can share it on your social networks, you already know that for any questions, I will be happy to answer you. See you at the next craft !!!
