Christmas snowflakes

Snowflakes

Snowflakes are typical of Christmas decoration. They are striking, beautiful and evoke a white Christmas full of joy and games in the open air. In this case, we are going to do some original Christmas snowflakes with such an easy and inexpensive material, you will be surprised.

In this case, we are going to use a somewhat dangerous tool such as a hot glue gun or hot silicone. If you don't work carefully, silicone can burn and it is quite painful. So this craft is ideal to do as a family or with older children. Find out how to make these Christmas snowflakes below.

Christmas snowflakes

To make these snowflakes so special we will need.

  • Wooden clothespins to hang clothes in two different sizes. We will need 8 pieces of each size to create a snowflake
  • Gun of silicone hot and bars
  • Rope
  • Painting gold and brush
  • Purpurin

Step by step

First we have to disassemble the clamps, we remove the metal part. We are going to use 8 tweezers each size to create each snowflake.

With the silicone gun let's join the clamps on the other hand. We repeat with all the wooden clothespins.

We begin to create the first part of the flake of snow. We glue 4 tweezers in the shape of a cross applying hot silicone and pressing for a few seconds until it cools.

We glue the rest of the tweezers following the shape of the image. Rwe repeat with the small tweezerss until you get two equal pieces, of different sizes.

Now we are going to cut two pieces of rope that we will join to the snowflakes to be able to hang them. We tie a knot at the end, we apply hot silicone and glue to the back on one of the tweezers.

The joint must be like this, so that it can be hung.

Once the snowflakes are finished, it only remains to decorate them. We can paint them or leave them as is since they have a very special natural touch. In this case we are going to paint one of them so you can see the effect both ways. We paint the wood with gold paint.

Before letting the paint dry, we put glitter above.

When the paint is dry, we shake off the glitter and voila, we already have two beautiful snowflakes to decorate the house this Christmas.
