We are going to see the step by step to make a fabric case in an easy way and that it is easy for us to make it ourselves.
This case can be useful to carry well-stored colors and pens to school.
Makings:
These are the materials that we will need to make our case:
- Outer fabric: A beautiful fabric with the colors and patterns that we like the most, I recommend that they are not large motifs, as in my case they are purple hearts.
- Inner fabric: A fabric that matches the outer fabric.
- Interlining with an adhesive side: for a case with more body
- Sewing machine.
- Zipper 30 cm .: the color that matches the fabric we have chosen for the exterior.
- Needle and thread.
Processing:
To make our case we are going to follow the following steps:
- We cut both the outer fabric, the inner fabric and the interlining, all in two rectangles of 25 cm. by 15 cm.
- We iron the interfacing and the fabric. We will get them to stay together and the outer fabric has more body.
- We sew the zipper. We first present it with pins so that it does not move and we stitch it with the sewing machine.
- We turn around and pass another exterior stitching to make the zip fastening more beautiful. We leave the zipper open, otherwise we will not be able to turn the fabric over.
- We do the same operation with the other two pieces of fabric. We face all the fabrics, exterior with exterior and interior with interior, we fasten with pins and we pass a backstitch. Leaving a little without sewing on the lining part.
- We cut the excess of the zipper.
- We finish off the four corners at ninety degrees and cut the excess triangle.
- We passed a zigzag with the machine so that the fabric does not fray.
- We turn the case for the part that we had left without sewing. With a needle and thread we sew that hole.
We put the lining inside and that's it! we already have our case to save our colors and pens and take it to school.
