Therefore, today we want to propose you a very easy and fun way to customize an old hat and give it a second life.
Material
- Any trimmings that we like and the color that most catches our attention or that best suits the hat to be customized. We have chosen a guipure lace trimmings (the latest trend in lace).
- Un hat old or new that we want it to have a more hippie or boho style.
- Una glue gun.
- Un eye-catching colored fur pompom.
- Scissors.
Our Process
Once we have selected each and every one of the materials, we will proceed to customize our hat. The only thing that must be taken into account for this craft is whether or not we want it to have the ribbon that the hats already have as standard.
In this specific case, I thought about how I could be without and with the trimmings tape and finally decided to leave the tape that I already wore because I liked the effect it created with the guipure lace trimmings on top.
We will fix the trimmings with thermal silicone at various points of the hat or simply in the area where the ends of the trimmings meet. The union must be made right on the side where we will later place the ornaments that we want to put on the hat. We have placed a fur pompom also hooked with thermal silicone on the junction of the two ends of the trimmings.
