Do you have some shoes a little spoiled to transform? If so, this is your tutorial, or at least, from it you can get an idea for customize them.
These shoes in the image are from two seasons ago and had a bad toe cap (although it is not well appreciated in the photographs) so I decided apply a bit of lace to transform them and, in passing, cover up those scratches that made them so ugly.
Materials
- Some old shoes.
- Lace.
- Glue. (As they are made of patent leather, I have used the typical superglue that works quite well for this material, but it is advisable to glue for fabrics)
- Scissors.
Our Process
We will choose one lace trim that we like and we will proceed to apply it on the shoes, looking for the way that we like the most to stick it later.
In this case, we have chosen a flower-shaped lace and we have applied it a little inclined. It is important to glue it thoroughly and trim the excess from the sides. To make it look better, with the scissors, we will outline the edge by using force between the shoe and the sole so that it sticks better.
And so they are one and another shoe. One with the lace and the other without. The difference is subtle but it gives the most beautiful.
Until the next DIY!
