We have already seen for some time how create templates with stencil. On this occasion, we try to decorate in a mirror a good way to use this technique. If you have an old mirror, you can take the opportunity to restore it, give it a cleaning and remodel to make it look more beautiful.
To create the template for our mirror, we are going to use the acidic glass paste, which will create an opaque layer of light on the decorations. Obtain addition of alcohol, a special adhesive template for glass amidation, an old brush, a soft sponge and always remember to use gloves for this type of Crafts.
We are going to start by cleaning the entire mirror very carefully, with the alcohol gradually removing all traces of dirt, such as dust or grease. Pay special attention especially to the areas where you want to apply the stencil templateas it adheres perfectly to the reflective surface.
After that, you can start testing, putting the stencil adhesive in the predetermined area. Thus, the adhesive must be applied with great care.
Once the adhesive is fully attached to the template (using rubber gloves), using an old brush, preferable to a new one because it could ruin in contact with the compound, the acidic paste is applied inside the empty spaces. Then you should wait for it to dry completely, which will take about 15 to 20 minutes.
Then it is removed with a damp sponge and remove the mass also the mask from the template. Clean again with the alcohol and wait for the entire surface to dry well.
El craft work it is already finished. If it is an old mirror and the frame is damaged by time and the gilding is not as beautiful as it was in the beginning, it is possible to apply a coat of gilding gel after the old paint has been sanded.
