DIY: How to line high heels

shoes

In one of my last posts I showed you how to make a handbag with synthetic astrakhan. Of that DIY I had some scraps left over and then I thought about cover myself with them some old cloth shoes that I no longer wore because they were very stained. You can see the result in the photo above. What do you think?

The truth is that before you start lining shoes I had quite a few doubts as to how they would look. But after seeing the result I am more than satisfied with them. I will be able to use them again and surely I will not find others like them. I love!

Materials

  1. Shoes.
  2. Glue special for fabrics.
  3. Tweezers of clothes or office pegs.
  4. Fabric (in my case synthetic astrakhan).
  5. Brush and scissors.

Our Process

The first thing to do is decide by what point of the shoes we are going to start lining them. I I recommend that you start at the back and if possible, make exactly the same additions that the shoe already has.

We will cut the back piece marking the shoe on the fabric and we will paste this first piece. Then we will place a clamp holding it. From here, the task becomes easier, We will cut the shape of the shoe on the fly and we will hook it up as well.  With the scissors I recommend that you go putting the edge of the clothing in the joint of the sole, so it will be more polished.

As you can see, in my shoes there was a red fillet that I have respected, but if this is not the case, you will have to line the shoe by forming an edge on the inside edge. Once all the shoes are lined, put tweezers on them until the glue has completely dried.
