DIY: How to make a rose-shaped ring

Rosa Sant Jordi

Greetings again DIYERS! Today I bring you this precious ring shaped pink inspired by the Day of Sant Jordi which is celebrated next April 23 in Catalonia.

For who does not know, in Sant Jordi a party is held in which the squares are filled with stalls with roses and books to give away, all of this, spiced up with a beautiful story about a princess, a dragon and a knight who gave rise to this original festival.

Materials

  1. Polymer clay (FIMO, Sculpey, Premo, Kato ...)
  2. Base for metal ring.
  3. Cutter or cutter.
  4. Bar to smooth polymer clay.

Our Process scheme

We will smooth the paste of polymer clay and we will cut a vein to make the central cocoon of the pink. Then we will cut the petals and we will add them one by one to the piece that we have made first. Once we have the pink done, we will cover the base for the metal ring with green polymer clay. Finally, we will join it and put it in the oven (as always for polymer clay, at 130 degrees and in this case about ten or fifteen minutes).

Once cooled and making sure that the pink to the base (otherwise we can always put glue), We will already have our rose-shaped ring ready to give away in Sant Jordi.
