FIMO PENGUIN OR POLYMERIC CLAY STEP BY STEP

In this tutorial you can learn to create a fun Fimo penguin or polymer clay. It's easy and you can do it with children thanks to Step by Step that I leave you next.

Materials

To make the penguin, you will need basic clay tools like a knife and awl. Also, you should have the following clay colors:

  • Blanco
  • RED
  • Black
  • Yellow

Step by step

The Body

To make the body the penguin takes a ball black color by ones and roll it on one side, creating a egg. If you press a little more the center of the egg you can sink it slightly.

Stand the shape upright, thickest side down, and flatten the base a bit by tapping it on the table so it can stand upright.

Create a oval rolling back and forth with a piece of colored clay white, and flatten it well with the palm of your hand. Glue it to the bottom of the penguin's body.

For cabeza smash a ball color white. Pressing with the knife, mark a slit on the edge and stick that shape on the penguin's head, leaving the marked line up.

To do the arms create two drops color black. The drops are made by rolling a ball on one side, thus only one part will be sharpened, leaving the other rounded. Squash the drops and glue them to the sides of the penguin by the rounded part of the drop, leaving the beak slightly raised.

To make the scarf create a colored line Red, flatten it and glue it around the neck.

With the knife you can mark the fringes at the end of the scarf and some lines in different parts to create more details.

Face

To make the peak mix a piece of clay yellow with very little of Red to create the color orange. Make with that mixture a drop and flatten it slightly. Stick it on the penguin's face.

For eyes Make two holes with the awl where you want to place them. Stick in those holes two balls black.

If you want to simulate the gloss eye you can hit two balls much smaller in color white.

Remix a chunk yellow with a little bit of Red to create the orange of the feet. Create with that mix two drops, and flatten them slightly.

With the knife, press the rounded edge of the drops creating two indentations.

Glue the feet under the penguin, on the sides and with one of the feet slightly raised and bent.

La tail is a drop color black. Glue it behind the penguin on the rounded part of the drop.
