Fixing the hem of jeans

VAJO-TROUSERS

Good morning to everybody!. The other day we bought a pair of jeans and I had to fix it because it was long, and I thought about showing you how I did it in case the same thing happens to you, as you will see it is very easy to do it.

So today we are going to see how to put the hem into pants, in this case they are jeans, but the same could be done for cloth ones.

Makings:

The materials that we are going to use are very basic:

  • Pin or safety pin.
  • Scissors.
  • Hilo.
  • Sewing machine.

Processing:

  1. The first thing we are going to do is try on the pants and mark the length of our pants with a pin or a safety pin.
  2. We will cut the two beds two centimeters longer than our pin mark. If you need it, you can measure with a ruler or meter and make the marks and then cut them.
  3. We pass a zig zag in the machine at the edge of the beds With this we will prevent the bass from fraying and we will make them last longer.
  4. We fold those two centimeters inwards and we pass a stitching with the machine to the two beds. It is not necessary to make two folds because for this we would have to have an industrial machine to be able to pass the fabric.

Yo I have used the camel colored thread of the pants to give it a better finish. If you don't have a sewing machine, we could do it by hand, passing a stitch around the hem with back stitch. We would only have to take the iron and iron the bottom and with this we would finish our pants, ready to wear.

I hope you liked this craft sewing and that it is useful to put it into practice. You already know that you can share it, give the like in the icons at the top, comment and ask what you want, because we are happy to answer your questions. See you at the next DIY.
