The fact that that hats have been the star trend this summer it is nothing new. We have seen them in all shapes and colors. Pamelas, borsalinos, caps, etc. all kinds of headgear were the best complement for sunny and hot days. And of course, if they were also daring and different, they could make the difference we are looking for in our style.
In today's post, we want to continue with the trend of hats because we believe that, this fall, they will continue to be the star accessory. That is why, We propose this DIY so easy and striking. So that your hats capture all eyes.
Material
- A hat.
- Textile glue or heat sealer glue.
- A black belt.
- Colourful feathers.
- A silicone flower or polymer clay.
Our Process
To make this craft, we have decided to recycle a white advertising hat. First, We have removed the advertising tape and put another black one on it. To fix it, we have done it by putting a little heat-sealant glue on the joint.
To decorate the hat, we have chosen green and black feathers that will give it a sober touch and a white and green flower that will give the hat a cheerful touch. Thus we achieve a fusion of styles very consistent for any look we wear.
With a little textile glue or heat-sealing glue, we have glued the feathers one by one with an inclination of about 45º. The feathers have been placed on one side of the hat.
Finally, to cover the beginning of the feathers and the glue, we have decided to glue a polymer clay flower.
As always, this is our version of the craft, but you can do it with countless materials and countless different styles. For example, we could have used lace of a fluorine color and made a fabric rose with it.
