How to make a heart pillow by recycling a wool sweater

I will show you how to make a heart pillow by recycling a wool sweater. Taking advantage of the wardrobe change I got this sweater that I no longer used, so I have decided to give it another use, this cushion with this peculiar shape that it will surely not go unnoticed. I show you how in step by step.

Makings:

• Canvas fabric. (or any fabric to make the inner cover).
• Wadding or filling.
• Sewing machine (can be sewn by hand).
• Wool sweater to recycle.
• Rubber or elastic.
• Safety pin.
• Pins.
• Marker pen.
• Paper.

Processing:

1. We start with a wool sweater that we want to recycle and we cut at the seams to separate all its parts.
2. We drawing a heart shape of the desired size on a paper and we cut out its outline.
3. Then we fasten this shape in one of the parts of the sweater with some pins and we mark with the marker its shape.

1. We cut by the marked shape and we reserve this piece.
2. In the other part of the jersey we mark only half of the heart, we cut and reserve this piece.
3. We take advantage of what is left in this piece to mark the other half of the heart, we cut, as seen in the image.

1. We present the first piece that we have cut together with the second so that the two seen faces are face to face.
2. In the third piece that we are missing we will make a fold and insert a rubber band or elastic for it. And we present it in the missing part and fasten everything with pins.
3. Finally we spent a stitching all the way around and a zig zag below so it doesn't come apart. We turn around and we will have our cushion cover

1. Next we are going to fill the interior, to do this cwe put two squares on the fabric and fold in half as a rectangle. With the heart shape of the paper, but folded in the middle, we present it on the fabric, mark and cut. When we open the fabric we will have two pieces with a heart shape.
2. We sew around the contour, leaving about ten centimeters without sewing.
3. We turn around and introduce the wadding or stuffing and then we sew these ten centimeters to close the stuffing.

We only have put the stuffing in the cover of the jersey and we will have our heart cushion, ready to decorate our bed or sofa at home.
