How to make a pen with lettering by recycling a crystal glass

In this post we will see how to recycle a crystal glass, to transform it into a pencil or pencil holder, now that the course begins and we want to decorate our desk. Surely you will have a glass at home that you do not use, today I come with a tip to in addition to recycling create a decorative and practical element.

MATERIALS:

  • Chalk paint or chalk paint.
  • Brush.
  • Permanent marker.
  • Varnish.
  • Pencil.

PROCESS:

  • Begin by cleaning the glass. In my case it is a nocilla and I have removed the sticker, but I have left the glue without removing, because I wanted to achieve a crackle effect in the final result. Then turn the glass upside down and give a coat of paint, if it is spray much better, because the brushstrokes are not noticeable. Do this by spraying the glass about eight inches or so and evenly.
  • Let dry and give a second coat of paint.

  • Find a beautiful and motivating phrase that you want to carry the pen and with a pencil write in the area where the sticker was, As you will see when it dries it will have a cracked or cracked effect.
  • With the permanent marker, go over the letters without fear of being able to make mistakes. (Well, with the pencil you have been able to erase the imperfections).
  • Last apply a varnish over the entire surface to protect the pencil holder and last longer.

And you will have ready the pen to place the pens, pencils or highlighters as is my case. But you can also give it other uses such as a vase because you can add water, since it does not have paint inside.

I hope you liked it and that it inspires you, if so I will be delighted to see it on any of my social networks. You can also like and share. See you at the next.
