In this tutorial I teach you to create a felt cactus. These plants are very fashionable and very decorative, but sometimes for some reasons we cannot have them naturally due to their spikes or thorns, so we are going to learn to create them ourselves in an artificial but equally decorative way.
Materials
To do this kind of cactus you will need the following materials:
- Green felt
- White or ecru yarn
- Needle
- Scissors
- Circular object
- Cotton or wadding
- Gun silicone
- Paper tape
- Flower pot
- Earth

As you may have seen in the video, it is very easy to do these Cactus. Also, you can change the color to the flower, or make a few by changing the tone Verde of the felt and using some darker and lighter ones. This way you will create very beautiful and decorative cactus collections.
Let's go over what you should do to create your own felt cactus so you don't forget anything about anything.
- Cut a circle out of green felt.
- Pass the thread all the way around the edge.
- Place the cotton or batting in the center of the circle and close it by pulling the excess thread.
- Pass several strips of thread across the felt ball and insert the needle through the center.
- Make several knots through the cactus with the thread simulating the spikes.
- Cut the strip of paper tape at a peak.
- Roll it up on itself to create the flower.
- Fix it with silicone gun.
And you just need to choose the flower pot that you like the most, fill it with earth or stones, and place your cactus.
It looks great in any corner of the house. Make them of size, crafts and color you want, and combine different types of cacti to create very special corners.
