Frog-shaped soft toy: In today's post I show you how to make your own frog soft toy. It is a stuffed frog-shaped pillow, a nice detail for the little one in the house or to give at a birth.
Materials for the plush:
- Green fabric.
- Vichi fabric in green and white.
- Sewing machine. (You can also sew it by hand with a needle and thread).
- Wadding or filling.
- Marker or pencil.
- Scissors.
- Pins.
Processing:
- Fold facing the two sides of the right and fasten with pins. Cut two rectangles out of felt twenty-four centimeters wide by 41 centimeters long.
- Mark a curve on one side. You can help yourself with a plate to make the most perfect shape.
- Cut this shape, leaving a centimeter, to be able to sew later.
- Prepare the shapes of the eyes, only this time make two semi-curves of about six centimeters.
- Make the legs, for this I have drawn on a sheet as a template and I have transferred it to the fabric. Cut again leaving a centimeter around the contour to be able to sew later.
- Now only the detail of the belly remains in the plaid fabric. Cut a semicircle like on the body.
- Mark a few stitches to make the shape of the eyes. Do this in two of the pieces.
- Apply the other part of the eye piece facing the fabrics and stitch over the curved area.
- Turn the two pieces over and fill with wadding. Reserve to place later.
- On the other hand, apply the piece of the belly, do it by passing a zig-zag with the machine.
- Sew a topstitch along the leg pattern. Before turning around, make a few small cuts in the corners.
- Mark a curve with red thread for the mouth and pin the eye pieces in the curved area that will serve as the head.
- Pass some stitching to both these pieces and the legs so that they are fixed.
- Face the other part of the body, pin and sew around leaving a space of a few centimeters to be able to turn around.
Fill with wadding to the desired thickness and close the gap with a hidden seam. And you will have your stuffed animal in the shape of a frog ready.
