There is a legend that tells of how these jasmine flowers were cultivated by the Medici family, especially Cosimo I, called the Great Devil, the Grand Duke in their parks.

The rule was that it did not grow, but then the family gardener disobeyed and decided cut a flower for his girlfriend on her name day, who planted it in her garden.

Connoisseurs say that it is always better not to plant jasmine plants in those places where the temperature is consistently below 5 degrees. The specimens that grow indoors have to live at a temperature that varies between 10 and 14 degrees in winter, and up to 22 degrees during the summer.

To stay healthy, jasmine plants require well-fertilized soil, rich in humus and peat, especially in the middle of the fall and flowering season. The soil should always be moist, but it should not create standing water.
