Lamp made from a recycled plastic bottle

lamp

We started the month of October with new tutorial that invites us to recycle and imagine what we can do with a plastic bottle. In this case, I have chosen to make a lamp with it and give a new, very practical and original use to a widely used material such as plastic.

Are you up for it? And what would you like to do with a plastic bottle? At CraftsOn we love to receive all kinds of suggestions to recycle and make, together and with the help of imagination, a greener world. We started the tutorial!

Materials

  1. Plastic bottle.
  2. Lampholders.
  3. Light bulb.
  4. A cap of any product (jars of cookies, candy, etc ...)
  5. Spray paint.
  6. Scissors and cutter.

Our Process

We will start cutting a square on the lid to be able to pass the cable of the lamp holder through it. Later we will mark the outline of the cap on the bottom of the bottle and cut it so that it fits and remains fixed. Once this is done, we will draw on the bottle the shape What do we want you to have our lamp and we will cut it.

Then (whenever possible in an outdoor place or if it is very well ventilated) we will go to spray paint our lamp. In this case I have painted it a copper color. Later we will let dry and mount the lamp putting the lamp holder inside the bottle and then putting the lid on it so that it cannot come out.

Regards and Until the next DIY!
