Hello everybody! In today's craft we are going to see how we can make a bird or a chick in a very simple way with an egg carton. It is perfect to spend an afternoon with the little ones in the house.

Materials that we will need to make our little bird with egg cups
- Egg carton.
- Cards of various colors, one for the peak and one for the crest.
- Glue
- Scissors
- Cutter
- Marker
Hands on craft
- The first thing we are going to do is cut two holes in the egg cup to form the body of the bird. We have to try to cut the edge as straight as possible to be able to glue the two parts well afterwards. In case it is still difficult for us to glue both parts, we can glue some tabs with cardboard on the inside to secure the two parts.
- We cut out of cardboard a piece with two triangles that will make a peak. To do this we cut out a rectangle, fold it in half and then make the triangles. So we will have the two equal parts.
- In the cardboard of the other color we are going to cut an elongated and half rounded shape, to which we will make some cuts to simulate some feathers or hairs. This piece will be the crest of our little paradise.
- We glue the two parts of the egg cup at the same time that we take the beak between the two so that it remains subject.
- We paint two black circles like eyes.
- With the cutter we make an opening in the upper part of the egg cup and put the bird's crest there. We open the cuts of the ridge a little so that they are more noticeable.
And ready! We already have our little bird. If we want we can paint the cardboard so that the body of the bird has another color, or we can even add some wings.
