In today's craft we are going to make a curtain step by step, in a simple way, but with an elegant touch in its final result.
Curtains They are moving parts that cover the windows inside a room, in addition to preventing the passage of light, they are an important decorative accessory.
Makings:
- Fabric, in this case sheer.
- Sewing machine.
- Scissors.
- Hilo.
- Metro.
- Needle.
- Curtain tape.
- Hooks.
Processing:
The first thing to have is the rod, to hang our curtain and to take measurements. For this I have needed help, but if you are very handy I show you the steps to install it:
- We take measure and we make sure that it is level, for this we mark with a pencil.
- With the drill we make the holes on the marks and we put a plug in each hole.
- We place the hook that will hold the bar, for this we need the anchor screws and the screwdriver.
- We measure the space that we want to cover with the curtain. We will cut twice that distance for the fabric. In other words, the measure of the fabric that we have to cut will be twice the space that we want to cover. (If it measures two meters we will need four of fabric).
- We will hem both on the sides and on the bottom. (Although to take the distance of the length we can also do it once we hang the curtain on the rod).
- We will sew the ribbon to the top of the curtain. We will leave about ten centimeters bent, so that the result is more professional.
- We will stretch the threads so that the folds come out, until we have the necessary measure.
- We will tie the strings so that it does not move, making a double knot, so that it does not unravel.
- We will pass the hooks through the tape in the place prepared for it about six inches away.
We only have to pass the hooks through the rings and hang the bar. And we will have the curtain ready!
