Paper fan

Paper fan

Today we will learn to get rid of those heats when the temperature tightens. We will create some pretty fans made of paper, in this way we will not spend money to buy one and it will be totally personalized to our liking.

To build it we will need:

  • Color papers
  • Cardboard
  • Wire or strong tape

The ideal size for the paper would be a Din A3, if we do not have we can put two A4 together, otherwise the fan will be very small.

It can be paper or thin cardboard of any color, we can even recycle old papers using some that we have at home and that do not serve us.

We can also paint it, like the one in this photograph, which has been decorated with drawings made by children.

The first step is to fold all the paper in a zigzag, leaving a width of one or two centimeters of fold. That is, we will create a kind of bellows with the paper.

We fold all the folded paper in half and tie a little of the end with wire or adhesive tape making sure that it is well attached. (Observe figure C in the photograph).

On the edges of both parts, that is, on the outside we glue two long strips of cardboard, one or two inches wide like the fold but much longer since they have to serve as a handle to fan ourselves.

We can now use our fan, to open it and fan ourselves we join the two cardboard strips in our hand and to fold it again we separate them. A practical, cheap and simple range to make.
