Planter decorated with ropes

Hello everybody! Now that the good weather has arrived it is time to have the terraces decorated, so today we are going to make a planter decorated with ropes of different sizes.

Do you want to know how you can make them and decorate your terrace or balcony?

Materials that we are going to need to make our planter with ropes

  • Strings of different sizes
  • Plastic or metal flower pots. In this case we are going to decorate a metal one that has a foot, but you can decorate any type of planter.
  • Hot glue gun
  • Scissors

Hands on manuality

  1. The first thing we are going to do is separate the planter from the stand. You have to take into account at what point the boot rests on the foot to decorate with rope only up to that point so as not to prevent both parts from fitting well.
  2. We will wrap our pot with a not very thick rope up to the mark that we have established before. Every little bit we will fix with hot silicone.

  1. We assemble the two pieces of the planter. We put our plant with its plastic pot inside the metal pot. If this plastic pot is underneath and it is not visible we will have finished, but if you see we are going to make a braid with a thick rope. We will make it tight and we will fasten it around the edge of the plastic boot with a knot that connects both ends.

  1. We can cut the excess or add balls or figures that decorate the hanging ropes.

And ready! We can now decorate our terrace for good weather with this beautiful planter.
