Ramp for guinea pigs to do with children

If you have guinea pigs in your family at home, this craft is fun because it is a ramp for guinea pigs made with craft materials. It will be very colorful and fun for children and guinea pigs. Guinea pigs are very social animals and will love being able to get in and out of their cage freely with a sturdy ramp.

Next we are going to explain how to make the ramp for guinea pigs to do with children. It is important that it is resistant and that is why we will give you some additional tips.

Materials you need to make the guinea pig ramp

  • Colored polo sticks (flat)
  • 1 scissors
  • 1 sheet of eva rubber
  • 1 cardboard sheet in case you want to reinforce (or wood)
  • Special glue for eva rubber and / or white glue
  • Strings

How to make the craft

To carry out the craft, you will first have to measure the size of the ramp to be able to make it so that it is easy for the guinea pigs to freely enter and exit their cage whenever they wish. Once you have the measurement, Cut out the eva foam and start gluing the flat colored polo sticks.

Once you have it, if you think it is not too strong because your guinea pigs are very large, then you can reinforce the bottom with wood or hard cardboard, gluing it with white glue.

Then, make two holes in the upper part of the ramp (with the scissors) so that that way you can pass the rope and tie the ramp and that it is well attached to the cage as you see in the image. Then let the guinea pigs inspect it freely so that they get used to it and are able to raise and lower it without fear. Do not force them to do it, teach them carefully and lovingly what it is and if they are interested, they will use it.
