Recycled cardboard bats

Recycled cardboard bats

We love these funny bats! We've cut out about three domed pieces of the egg carton and trimmed them at the ends to give them that egg carton shape. wings of bats. We have painted it black, placed eyes for crafts and added some ribbons to hang them. This idea is very original for these Halloween days. Do you want to know how to do it? We have prepared a small video and how to do it step by step.

The materials I have used for the bats:

  • Egg carton.
  • Black acrylic paint.
  • Paint brush.
  • Orange ribbon.
  • Plastic eyes.
  • Pencil.
  • Scissors.
  • Hot glue or silicone with your gun.

You can see this craft step by step in the following video:

First step:

We cut out three convex parts of the egg carton. at both ends we draw the curved shape of the wings so that they are pointed. We cut it out.

Second step:

We paint all the cardboard with black acrylic paint. We will do it from the top and let it dry. Then we will paint it on the inside and also let it dry.

Third step:

When we have dry the bats we proceed to place the hanging tape. We make holes in the central and upper part of the cardboard with the help of the tip of the scissors. We put the tape at both ends and we knot on the inside so that the knot is not visible.

Fourth step:

Finally we glue the eyes of the bats. We will help ourselves with any type of glue or hot silicone.
