Do you know that you can make amazing ideas with a shoe box? Well, that has been the proposal of this craft. We recreated a box and recycled it to make a small desk with a drawer so that it can be used for whatever you like the most. In my case, I have decorated it with pink paper and I have decorated it with a flower-shaped ornament, to make it childish. Afterwards, it has already been used and filled with utensils and toys so that the little ones can have everything at hand.
The materials that I have used are:
- a shoe box
- decorative paper to decorate the box
- A thin cardboard sheet to make the box dividers
- a handle or knob for the drawer
- tail
- hot silicone gun
- scissors
- pencil
- ruler

First step:
Let cut out the area where the drawer will be placed. The drawer will be made up of the lid of the box itself. For it we take the same height as the cover to make the hole where this drawer will pass. We check that the cover fits in and fits, if we have any excess, we take measurements and trim it.
Second step:
We cover the inside of the box with decorative paper, we can use different colors. We do the same with all visible parts of the box. To stick the paper we can help ourselves with glue, but be careful not to use a large amount of this glue, since with so much humidity, it could wrinkle the paper. Ideally, use a thick paper or glue stick, although this type of glue is often not very effective in grip.
Third step:
We line the drawer with the decorative paper. We take a cardboard sheet and we cut it with the same measurements of the entire quadrant of the box. We are going to make a shelf that will serve as a separation between the chest of drawers and the top. When we have it trimmed we will also cover it.
Fourth step:
We cut rectangular pieces of cardboard to the size we want, to make the dividers that will go on top of the box. We also cover them with decorative paper. We choose the knob for the chest of drawers and place it. In my case I have glued it with hot silicone.
All that remains is to decorate it or fill it with all the objects we want. I have filled it with small toys and belongings for a girl, so that she can use it as a desk and have all these objects collected and at hand.
