Recycled vases

A good option to give as a gift or to decorate your own home, is build vases, with disused bottles.

For this job, we will need Glass bottles (regardless of size or shape), alcohol, cotton, newspaper, vinyl glue, water and colored paints.

A first stage of the work is to thoroughly clean the bottles. For this, it will be enough with a previous washing with water and detergent, then passing through the external surface, a cotton pad soaked in alcohol (to remove the remains of dirt).

Once the bottle is dry, the newspaper will be shredded and glued to the surface of the bottle, with a preparation of vinyl glue and water. Apply to the entire surface and let it dry. This action must be repeated for at least four layers.

Finally, give a coat of white paint, and on it, a colored one (the one you like the most).

Let dry. Already in this step, we have a recycled craft vase, more than beautiful. But if desired, it can be added colors to decorate, figures or images.

A second option is paint the bottle directly, without using newspaper. To achieve that in this case the glass takes the appropriate color, you must buy glass enamel.
