Carnival is approaching and in Crafts ON we are going to show you a very colorful costume created by ourselves, with the help of the little ones in the house, that is what is fun.
It is a robot costume to wear this carnival and be the most original.
Makings:
- Cardboard boxes.
- Foil.
- Plastic plugs.
- Double sided tape.
- Glue gun.
- Cutter.
- Cardboard.
- Felt pens.
Processing:
The process of making this costume is very simple, following these indications:
- The first thing we are going to do is the structure of the costume, for this we need two boxes, a larger one that will be for the body and a smaller one that will be where the head will go. We glue one box to another with hot silicone, so that the frame is strong and does not come apart.
- We make the holes to put the arms and the head. To do this, we mark with a marker where they will be located, (taking into account their size so that it is comfortable for them when placing it) and cut with a cutter.
- We cover the structure, we are doing it in parts: first we put double-sided tape, and then we apply pieces of aluminum foil, so it will be attached. We repeat it until we cover the entire structure.
- For the accessories we are going to use the cardboard and the marker, here children can let their imagination run wild and make power regulators, loudspeakers, scanners ... Also with the plastic plugs we can create a very original decoration, such as buttons, antennas, receivers….
As you can see in the images, a very original decoration is achieved with four details that we add to the structure. Then you can add the clothes, with matching pants and shirt, black or red for example, and place a little silver foil on the wrists and ankles to give it more realism.
