How to make a simple bookmark

How about vacations? Surely these days you take a little time to read that book that you want to finish and for this you will need a point for the pages so today I come to show you how to make a simple bookmark for you to use and make it easier for you to read.

As you will see, it is made with paper and you can reuse those scraps of paper that you have left over from other jobs, you can customize it and do it to your liking, I will show you this to serve as inspiration.

Makings:

As I have told you to make this bookmark we are going to use the scraps of decorative papers, Well, it is not necessary that they be very large and we do need designs. In addition to these papers we will use:

  • Glue or double-sided tape.
  • Cuter or guillotine.
  • Stamps and ink.
  • Ballpoint.

Processing:

  • Begin choosing the papers for our bookmark. In my case it is going to be monochrome in purple and mauve tones.
  • Cut the paper. You will need to:
    • two rectangles one of each color with these dimensions:
      • 17,5 cm by 7 cm.
      • 16,5 cm by 6 cm.
    • three 5 cm squares. by 5 cm. each one and with a different drawing design.

  • Ink all the way around the cut pieces, I have used purple ink, you will get a different finish.
  • Apply the stamps on the squares, in my case it is a bird and music, but you already know that you can place what you like the most, even make a doodle or personalize it with the name.

  • Now, assemble the set, Glue the small rectangle to the large one, do it in a centered way, if you look at the image there is half a centimeter around it.
  • Finally with the pen do a fake sew around as seen in the photograph.

And you will have it ready to use, or to give as a gift, as it is a nice detail for anyone who loves to read.
