Christenings or baby shower they are celebrations that are full of details and decoration. In this post I am going to teach you how to make this craft so easy that it can be a perfect souvenir for a special day. I have made it thinking of twins or twins, but you can adapt it to your needs and make your own design.
Materials to make the souvenir for christening or baby shower
- Colored folios
- Guillotine or ruler
- Glue
- Scissors
- Baby stamps
- Colored pencils or markers
- Methacrylate base and black ink for stamping
- Golden eva rubber
- Dies and machine
- Polka Dot Embossing Folder
- Star punch
Procedure to make the souvenir for christening or baby shower
- To start you need a color folio in A4 size.
- Cut out 3 strips of 5 cm x 29,5.
- Make marks or folds every inch along the entire strip.
- Form an accordion by folding each strip of paper back and forth.
- Open it slightly and you will have this strip in the shape of a zig zag.
- Do the same with the 3 strips.
- Glue one on top of the other to get a longer strip.
- Close the circle by gluing the outer ends together.
- Press down and you will get a circular rosette.
- With the help of a polka dot embossing folder I'm going to mark a white card by running it through my die-cutting machine.
- Once the paper has the polka dot design I will cut out a circle with this die.
- And I'm going to stamp on a cardboard the drawing of the twins with black ink.
- I will be coloring with colored pencils giving some shadows on the skin and on the diapers.
- Once the babies are colored, I am going to cut them out with a slight white margin.
- I will glue them on top of the circle that I had previously glued on top of the rosette.
- Now I am going to create a label with the phrase «It's a twins» which means "they are twins."
- I'm going to paste it at the bottom of the circle.
- To finish I am going to place a Golden Star rubber foam on one side of the card.
