In this tutorial I teach you to create paper medals, perfect to do with children. Now that the Mother's Day They can personalize them to give each one to their mother. They can give it a name or a phrase, and use whatever colors they want.
Materials
To make them Medals for Mother's Day you will need the following materials:
- Colored paper or cardstock
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Marker
- Decorative tape
Step by step
Let's start by creating the circular part of the Medals. To do this you must cut a strip the paper or the cardboard of the color you have chosen. The width depends on how big you want your medal to be. And the length must be at least 50cm. If your paper is not that long you can make two strips, don't worry, we will glue them together. You should fold the strips of paper as if they were a accordion. One fold to one side, one to the other, and so on until the end.
Glue one end to the other closing a Circle, as if it were some kind of skirt. When you have it like that, push it down the center, you will see that it flattens out and there is a circle with the accordion folds.
Now let's do the central circle. Cut a circle of cardboard smaller than the accordion you just made. Stick it in the center. To add decoration you can draw pictures around the edge.
Time to catch the decorative ribbons. Cut two strips and glue them in an inverted V shape from the back. They have to fall down. Trim the ends for a more beautiful finish.
Finally, write in the center the message or name what you want.
