Have you ever seen a string lamp at someone you know or shop before? Would you also like to have one? Would you like to be able to decide its size and color? Today I am going to show you how to make a string lamp in the simplest and fastest way. In addition, you can see how easy it is to customize it. And best of all, the result. You're going to love it!
Materials
- Hilo
- White glue
- Paint (optional)
- Balloon (preferably)
- Scissors
- Brush
Our Process
- Inflate the balloon and tie the first part in the shape of a circle with a knot. In this way, you can start wrapping the thread around the balloon in an irregular way, without it escaping. In addition, it will serve as a basis for the end of the process.
- After several turns of the thread, to taste, finish cutting it and making a small knot. Then cut the excess, as I show it in the image.
- Mix water and white glue in a small pot, half and half is enough. With the brush, once well mixed, you can go through every corner.
- A fast track, if you have a plastic plate at hand, it is to place the glue that we have made on it. By stirring the balloon on its surface, the process becomes very fast!
- To let it dry And don't have any ugly drops left, take advantage of the little pot where we made the mixture. Put the balloon by the tip downWe are going to cut that area anyway.
- Take the scissors, and cut! In my case, I took as a reference the base with which we began to pass the thread. In this way, I already have a line drawn, and it gives the lamp robustness.
- You can see that the cuts were not made just where the thread passed. It will taste, but close to it.
And that's it! You can make two and have a couple of night lamps, a large and bulky one for a room, or whatever you see. If you don't like the color, once dry and cut, you can paint over it without problem. You can match anywhere!
