Surprise box for Valentine's Day

Surprise box for Valentine's Day

These types of boxes are quite a surprise. Personally, it is wonderful to give something so endearing and that is full of little nooks and crannies. This craft is designed with the purpose of giving a message, on this day to Valentine's Day, and to hide some small detail by means of a surprise. It will have the appearance of a box that will be displayed in two boxes and in small messages. To do it step by step you have a demonstration video so you don't miss any detail.

The materials I used for the box:

  • A large black cardboard, although you can choose any color.
  • A white pen or paint.
  • An eraser.
  • A rule.
  • White paper or cardboard.
  • A personal photo.
  • Paints to draw and write a message.
  • Hot silicone and his gun.
  • Glue stick.
  • Various small shape die cutters.
  • Some red or glitter cardstock to make shapes and decorate the box.

You can see this craft step by step in the following video:

First step:

On the cardboard we choose, we draw a large square of 24 x 24 cm . Inside it we draw 9 squares perfect of 8 x 8cm.

Second step:

We cut out a white square on white cardstock or white paper. It will have to have a margin less than 8 x 8 cm to get it into the box. The white square will serve as a template to make another of the same size and cut out a photo of the same dimensions. in the white squares we will draw some small details such as cute pictures or messages.

Third step:

We have to make 5 boxes. To make one of them we draw a square of 16 x 16 cm. We will have to draw several lines inside: it will be an 8 x 8 cm square in the center, around there will have to be margins of 4 cm. When drawing the lines we observe that some squares have been formed in each corner. We cut with scissors only one side of that line formed from the corner square. When cutting it, it will serve as flaps to glue the edges and thus form the box.

Fourth step:

Will other 4 boxes apart from the one we just made, but one of them will have to have about 3 or 4 mm more on each side, because it will be the little box or lid of the entire final set that we will work as the main box. We bend the edges of the corner squares and we glue the flaps forming the box

Fifth step:

From the structure we made at the beginning (24 x 24 cm) we cut the squares that are in the corners. We take the structure and we fold all the lines that were drawn

Step Six:

In two of the flaps that are not in a row, we put silicone and paste in each square a box. In the central square we place photography and in the other two remaining squares we place the white squares that we have drawn with a message. We will stick it with a glue stick so that the paper does not wrinkle.

Seventh step:

We cast the porexpan balls in each box and we will put the details that we want to give away.

Eighth step:

With the two little boxes that we have, we close the porexpan boxes as a lid. We close the whole and with the largest lid or box we close or cover the entire structure. With several punching machines we will make various shapes and decorate the box on the outside. We will paste the figures and we will have our box ready!
