Swing bed, a great idea to rest in the shade of the tree

Swing bed with pallets

Always since I was little I have loved the swings hanging from the trees. I was a bit of a goat and I always liked to do the goose and the goat through the trees, and if there was already a swing even more.

That is why today I show you this bed ecological swing, because seeing it reminded me of my childhood, and the truth would be a good option to put it in my garden. In addition, it has the advantage that it is recycled and ecological, because it is made with recycled pallets that are no longer used.

Materials

  • 2 pallets.
  • Mattress.
  • Strings
  • Drill.

Our Process

First of all, we must do two through holes in the corners of the pallets, to pass through them the rope that will be tied to the tree.

Next, we will join the two pallets and we will place the strings in such a way that it is as in the following image.

As it is for a double bed, we will have to join the two pallets at the center, reinforcing it, so we do not run the risk of it breaking and falling when we are mounted.

If you want, you can sand the pallets and varnish them or give it some protection for the outside. In particular, I would leave it that way to give it a more rustic touch.

Finally, we just have to tie the ropes to the tree well, place the mattress and make a small and beautiful decoration like the one in the image. Just by looking at it, it would be a good idea to take a nap outside.
