We make a notebook by recycling a roll of toilet paper

notepad recycling toilet paper roll

What better way to make a craft if it involves some recycling. In this post we are going to make this notebook with materials that we all have at home and a little time.

Do you want to see how?

Notebook materials

Materials you will need:

  • 1 roll of toilet paper
  • White glue
  • Hot glue gun (optional)
  • Stapler
  • Scissors
  • Cuter
  • Two folios
  • Pieces of cardboard, wrapping paper ...

Hands on craft

  1. Cut the toilet paper roll to open it like a flat piece of cardboard. Fold it in half and on the inside, using a rule or something straight, draw a finite line with the cutter without going through the entire thickness of the roll. This will help it to fold better.
  2. Cut the folios into rectangles that are slightly smaller than the toilet paper roll itself. Put 'em together, fold' em in half and staple them together in the center. crafting notebook
  3. Glue the stack of sheets already stapled to the cardboard with the hot glue gun or white glue. notepad craft
  4. Apply white glue on the outside from our beginning of notebook and line it with wrapping paper or other paper that is not very thick. Fold it inward.
  5. Cut two pieces of cardboard or thick paper and put it on top of the parts that we have folded inward in the previous step.
  6. Optionally, you can put another piece of cardboard on the outside of the notebook that will serve as the cover.

DIY memo pad

And ready! As a gift, for you, whatever you want, you will have a small notebook at hand made with the things you have at home.

I hope you cheer up and do this craft.
