December is here and with it one of the Christmas traditions comes home. Are you also one of traditions and do you let yourself be carried away by the magic of these dates? If so and you also have children at home, this one will come in handy. DIY Advent Calendar made with envelopes.

Makings:

  • Paper envelopes. (the kind used in bakeries to put the cakes).
  • Black marker.
  • Silver marker.
  • Circle and cookie die.
  • Tweezers.
  • Blue card stock.
  • White bow.
  • Bluebells.
  • Fruit box.
  • Double sided tape.
  • Blue ink.
  • Glue.
  • Take out corners.

Processing:

I have used the combination of white, blue and silver, but you can design your calendar with the colors that you like the most, for this you will change the cardboard, the envelopes and the markers.

Take the process in a chain, so that it is easier and faster for you.

  • Starts with cut a rectangle in the cardboard to fit your envelope. (measurements are optional, you can take whatever you want).
  • Take out the corners of the rectangle. (If you do not have this tool, you can do it with the scissors cutting the shape).

  • Write a word that reminds you of Christmas on each of the cards, do it with the silver marker.
  • Stick with double-sided tape each card to its envelope.

  • Prepare now the numbers of the days, Die-cut in the shape of a cookie and write the numbers with a black marker.
  • Now, Go over the outline with the silver marker.

  • Next glue the numbers to the wooden clothespins with liquid glue.
  • Prepare some labels to decorate and stick on the envelope. You can take advantage of any you have or print and die as I have done. I have inked the outline to give it another finish.

  • Fill each envelope with whatever you want, in my case I have filled them with candies and sweets.
  • Last decorate the fruit box. Take measurements and cut out some cardboard rectangles, which you will tape to the box with double-sided tape. Make a bow and place a Christmas ornament, in my case some bells.

And voila, you don't need more, put all the envelopes inside the box and to enjoy a surprise every day.
