Two homemade ways to make wax stamps

Would you like to seal the envelopes of the invitations to an event with a wax seal? We give you two very simple ideas to make wax seals.

Let's see how to do it?

Materials that we are going to need

  • Cork
  • Flat metallic objects with some relief such as coins, rings, the metal container of a candle, etc ... whatever you can have at home.
  • Round glass jars with small circumferences, in my case I will use a nail polish.
  • Hot glue gun

Hands on craft

  1. The first stamp is very easy to do since it is to use unmodified objects. In this case, simply We will use the glass bottle of a nail polish. This nail polish has at its base a circle based on raised dots that will later be marked in the sealing wax. Another option is to use shot glasses. The trick is that the glass circumference is about the size of a euro coin.
  2. For the second seal, we will stick the chosen metal object on the end of the corkIn my case, I used the metal container of a candle.
  3. We wait for it to dry and it can be used.
  4. We can obtain a wide variety of stamps with different reliefs to leave different motifs on our invitations. You just have to let your imagination run wild to use the objects we have at home at our reach.

And ready! We have already prepared to close our envelopes with a wax seal. SWe do not want or can use sealing wax, another option is to use hot silicone, as i do. The trick is to wait for the silicone to set a bit and thus prevent the seal from sticking to the silicone.
