Materials that we will need to make our birthday numbers
- Toothpick of wooden moorish skewer or any other type of stick that can be nailed and that is rather long (more than 10 cm.)
- Silicone hot
- Colored confetti or the birthday boy's favorite coloe, purpirin or anything that can stick and you like. A trick, you can always make the confetti yourself with a machine to make holes and colored sheets.
- Baking paper or other paper, preferably that does not adhere, but if not you can cut the number and that's it.
Hands on craft
- The first thing is to prepare the craft, for it we will put the paper on a smooth surface and on top we will put the toothpick of Moorish skewer. I recommend that you make a template with the number to make and use greaseproof paper to facilitate your work, so the number can be seen. We will have the confetti or whatever we have chosen to decorate by hand.
- Then carefully we will draw the number with hot silicone. It is important that a good part of the number is on the toothpick to ensure a good grip.
- After and Before the silicone dries, we are going to pour the confetti over it.
- We will wait a while for it to be dry to take off our number or cut it, turn it over, add a little more hot silicone and sprinkle confetti again.
- This technique can be used to make letters, simple figures like stars or hearts. As a tip, they can be accompanied by tall candles and a sparkler. Although in the latter case it is better to put the number somewhat far from where we put the flares since we do not forget that it is made of paper and we do not want to have a campfire.
