In summer we usually use a multitude of eye-catching and very colorful accessories that we don't usually use at other times of the year. For example, one of the accessories that is usually relegated to the summer season, are the anklets. They are beautiful and make eyes fall on our ankles, part of the body, which otherwise is often forgotten.

In crafts ON, We propose an easy and original way to make your own anklet by recycling a piece of fabric or an old t-shirt. Imagination to power!

Material

  1. A strip of Trapillo or an old T-shirt about 60/70 centimeters.
  2. Scissors.

Our Process

As you can imagine, The trick to making this fabric anklet is to simply chain-stitch. For those who do not know how to do it, here are the steps you must follow:

  1. Take one end of the t-shirt yarn strip and make as if we were making a knot, but instead of passing the entire other end of the t-shirt yarn strip, we will only go a little to make a washer.
  2. We will tighten the knot a little so that it is not so loose, as we see in the second photograph.
  3. Then, we will pass part of the cloth strip inside the washer as we did in the first point.
  4. Again, we will tighten the previous knot by pulling a little on the cord of the new washer.
  5. We will follow the same procedure until it is long enough to be an anklet.
  6. Finally, in the last point, we will pass the remainder of the t-shirt yarn so that, this time, the knot is made.
  7. Finally, we will tie the anklet and cut the excess fabric.

Remember that, if you don't have a T-shirt yarn, you can also make it by recycling an old T-shirt that you can cut into strips and stretch them creating your own T-shirt.

Until the next DIY! And if you liked it, share and comment.
